Jean-Christophe Lagarde placed in police custody in the case of the false accusations against Corbière and Garrido

New legal twist in the case concerning the false accusations against Alexis Corbière and Raquel Garrido. According to our information, Jean-Christophe Lagarde was placed in police custody this Wednesday morning after being arrested at his home. This police custody is part of the investigation opened on June 29 and entrusted to the BRDP, confirms the Paris prosecutor’s office.

The former UDI deputy, beaten in the last legislative elections by Raquel Garrido, is the subject of a complaint for “breach of trust”, filed at the end of June by the journalist from Point Aziz Zemouri, author of the article which questioned the couple of LFI deputies, before being withdrawn of the site.

The complaint was lodged by name against the president of the UDI and a former territorial intelligence policeman of the department, member of the Vigi police union, Anouar Bouhadjela, known as Noam Anouar. The latter, whom Aziz Zemouri presents as the source of the false accusations against the two elected officials, was also placed in police custody. Just like a third man, collaborator of Jean-Christophe Lagarde.

In June, Le Point had published an article online by journalist Aziz Zemouri unduly accusing the couple of having exploited an undocumented cleaning lady, which the two elected officials had immediately denied firmly: “Everything is false”, had- they protested. The item was removed the next day and the newspaper had admitted that the article had “turned out to be false” and “misleading”, in an address to readers.

Raquel Garrido “satisfied” that the investigation is progressing

On June 29, the Paris public prosecutor’s office opened a preliminary investigation for fraud in an organized gang, forgery and use of forgery, identity and data theft and entrusted the investigations to the Brigade for the repression of delinquency against the person (BRDP). This investigation examines three complaints filed by the couple Garrido-Corbière, Aziz Zemouri and Jean-Christophe Lagarde.

The journalist targets in his complaint the former UDI deputy Jean-Christophe Lagarde and Anouar Bouhadjela. Aziz Zemouri assures that Noam Anouar, “who would be seconded to the town hall of Drancy”, whose mayor is the wife of Mr. Lagarde, contacted him at the end of May to put him in contact with a woman claiming to be the wife of household, undeclared and without papers, of the couple of LFI deputies. The boss of the UDI has filed a complaint for breach of trust.

“Satisfied” that the investigation is progressing, MP LFI Raquel Garrido, interviewed this Wednesday morning on BFMTV, wants “the investigation to go to the end. I hope that all this will not lead to a result where nothing will be proven. I have confidence in the investigation service, but I remind you that my family has suffered a lot from these extremely serious accusations. As much as the political controversy can be lively and I accept it, as much in this case it was serious manipulation which was only intended to prevent me from being elected”.
