In a press release, Jean-Luc Crucke announced that he had cancer. “Cancer has caught up with me, but I don’t intend to let myself be overtaken,” he wrote.
He will undergo “compelling” surgery on Friday. “I have total confidence in Erasmus’ medical and nursing staff who treat me,” he confides.
A rest period of one month awaits him then. “I will come out of this more determined and more determined than ever to fight for what I consider to be just, essential and sustainable,” he concludes.
