Jeremy Lin wrote: “Playing 13 years of professional basketball, I don’t take any moment or season for granted. My dream has always been the same – to give my best performance at the highest level I have had the opportunity to play, And use the resources I’ve been lucky enough to get from basketball to create opportunities for others to pursue their dreams. And this season, I’m excited to rejoin the CBA.
During this journey, I have had heartbreaks and setbacks. Last year was no exception. Being quarantined for 3 months because of a COVID-19 diagnosis is an obstacle I never imagined facing, and the mental and physical impact is hard to overcome right away. I really wish I could give everyone a better performance last year and give the best of my ability, but that didn’t happen. However, I am forever grateful to the city of Beijing, the Beijing Shougang Club, President Qin, my coaches and teammates, and of course, the enthusiastic Shougang fans, for letting my first team in the CBA wear Beijing Shougang jersey. I will always cherish the days spent with you.
For the upcoming season, I am grateful to join @LongLion Basketball Club – Coach Guo and a young roster full of talent and potential, a team that is getting better year by year. I can’t wait to work hard with all my teammates and coaches. Guangzhou, thank you for giving me this opportunity. I will do my best to contribute to this team.
