Jimmy Page never responded to Ozzy Osbourne’s invitation to play on the new album

Ozzy Osbourne says his invitation to Jimmy Page went unanswered as he offered to collaborate on his next album Patient Number 9.

The former Black Sabbath singer has assembled a dreamy cast for this upcoming album on September 9: Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) et le regretté Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters) pour les parties de batterie, Robert Trujillo (bassiste de Metallica), Jeff Beck, Duff McKagan (GNR), Tony Iommi de Black Sabbath, Eric Clapton, Mike McCready (Pearl Jam), Josh Homme (Queens of The Stone Age) et Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society).

But he would have loved Jimmy Page to also respond to his invitation: “I don’t even know if he still plays, but I thought that having Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page, being the best guitarists in the world, would have been great. But I never heard from him, maybe he lost his phone or something.”
