One day before the ISA Worlds in Puerto Rico, Joan Duru won her ticket to the Paris Olympics, bringing the number of surfers qualified for Teahupoo to four at the end of August. The Landais joined Kauli Vaast, Johanne Defay and Vahine Fierro.
The last nominative sesame chose its camp this Saturday in Arecibo between Duru and Marco Mignot. The two Frenchmen were opposed in the first series of round 6, with Gabriel Medina. The Reunionese will face the Australian Sally Fitzgibbons, the Peruvian Sol Aguirre and the Spaniard Nadia Erostarbe. That’s it for Tessa Thyssen, eliminated in the 7th round of the repechage.
