Joaquín Levinton, the frontman of Turf, goes back to his beginnings in music, revealing that from a very young age he was already attracted to this art. At the age of 13 he began to play the guitar and at the age of 15 he had his first aspirations to dedicate himself professionally to music. As for the name of the band, Levinton says that it arose from his love of horse betting. “We went to the racetrack a lot and there we did our first ‘muffs’,” he recalls mischievously.
Although his family, coming from an academic background, did not look favorably on his decision to dedicate himself to music, Levinton persevered and over time, the success of Turf showed them that their path was the right one.
