Philadelphia 76ers CENTER Joel Embiid admits the mental recovery process from being sidelined due to a long injury was a difficult time.

Embiid returned to the floor after missing eight weeks following surgery on the lateral meniscus in his left knee.

“Usually when I have an injury, I say to myself, let’s get up, fix it and then finish it,” said Embiid, quoted on the ESPN page, Wednesday (3/4).

In the match against the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Wells Fargo Center, Wednesday (3/4) WIB, which the Sixers won with a score of 109-105, Embiid scored 24 points, six rebounds, seven assists and three steals.

“This injury has had an impact mentally, it’s made me depressed, it’s really not good. So, I’m still not at the level I should be,” admitted Embiid.

Although he assessed that the injury he suffered this time made him depressed, Embiid still tried to have a positive outlook.

“I’m back playing. Hopefully every day I get better and return to my true self,” concluded Embiid. (Ant/Z-1)
