The Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and all the East, John X Yazigi, indicated, in the celebration of the opening of the old Archdiocese and the Church of Our Lady in Aleppo, and the thanksgiving prayer in St Elias Church, that “we are here and the wound of Aleppo is still open and has not healed. We are here and the wound of Eastern Christianity is bleeding with continued absence.” Bishops of Aleppo Youhanna Ibrahim and Paul Yazigi. With the continuation of this kidnapping, our voice remains raised with the great affliction that we have knocked on all doors and so far we are doing this without any result. What hurts us and grieves us as much as the condemned kidnapping itself is forgetting the issue and being unable to do anything. But All this puts in our hearts and minds, that we are here with the strength of our reliance on God, and with patience and hope, which we derive from the face of Christ, our God and Savior.”

He said: “Our call is to the whole world: Lift the sinful economic siege on our people, which targets first and foremost the livelihood of the eastern person. The crisis ends, but its heavy economic effects reap lives that the war did not reap. We are not amateurs of immigration and displacement. We want to live in our country that We love and adore. Lift the economic siege on our people, for we were not created to die on the shores, nor to hide in the shadows of alienation. We want to live in our land and our country, which is our heart and entity. We are not talking here about poetic or utopian. The cost of the displaced to your economy is much higher than the cost that You are wearing it here in implementation of a siege and in support of parties and others.Let us live in our land and in the land of our ancestors, and our opening of this house is evidence that we are always and forever to this land and to our chest we will join its riches, like our ancestors who imbibed us in it the love of Christ and the authenticity of the faith generation after generation, and our prayers from Aleppo from For the peace of Syria and for the good of Lebanon.
