“Personally, I was afraid of him,” says a witness about Depp
Elizabeth Marz testified via a 2019 video statement about being present during the couple’s argument in May 2016.
“Have you ever seen Mr. Depp violent with anyone?” a lawyer asked. “I experienced it that night… Personally, I was afraid of it”said Marz.
“It all happened very fast…he came in very fair, from my perspective, really under the influence of something, drugs or alcohol, because he was very careless, like he was drunk. He had a very large bottle of wine…that was getting spilling everywhere”said Marz.
“Her whole being really scared me and I almost felt her coming towards me. From my perspective, whether it came at me or not, it scared me,” he added.
Marz testified that he could not remember the exact details, but he recalled seeing spilled wine in the hallway and then seeing Heard’s “swollen and red” face.
