“What I suggest to the wife is that she find a good family lawyer to help her with her divorce, if immigration really sees all the evidence and decides that he has been married from the beginning, has been cheating and has done all wrong, they can send you to jail for a while and immediately deported”he expressed.
Likewise, the lawyer explained that Yadira Cárdenas can annul her marriage. “What the wife can do is contact Immigration and say that she no longer wants to continue with the case, she can get a divorce, she can make an annulment, which means that the marriage never existed because he cheated on her”said.
Josimar could lose his residence if the wedding is annulled
In this sense, the lawyer stressed that if the marriage between the Cuban and Josimar was annulled, the salsero would be deported, since his residency would be cancelled.
“It will also affect the residence that he supposedly already has, because the residence is connected to the marriage (…) If it is true that he only married for interest and migration he discovers with evidence, because there has to be evidence in all that, then (…) It will affect him for many years and he will not be able to return to the United States, it could be five to ten years”he stated.
