The 52-year-old Venezuelan took his first steps on television in the novel “Cinco de chocolate y una strawberry” (1989), in which he had the fortune to participate alongside Julie Restifo and other Venezuelan stars. However, his golden opportunity came when he was part of “The Disney Club,” a program that the renowned company broadcast on a Venezuelan channel.

In that project, Alarcón joined forces with Patricia Schemel, Nohelia Sotillo, Verónica Rasquín and Caterine Correia. After that, he managed to obtain other characters in irreverent RCTV productions. “Viva la Pepa”, “Juana la Virgen”, “La Cuaima” and “Amantes” were some of those spaces where he managed to demonstrate his talent.

However, his most emblematic role was that of “Macho Flaco” which he played in the soap opera “There are loves that kill”, partnering with the remembered María Solita, played by Ámbar Díaz. These two artists managed to gain a foothold in the project and managed to make history with their characters.

The man from Merida not only had the material for acting, but also for animation and this was made clear in “Arriba Juventud”, a program that he was able to host on the Quinta Crespo channel. At the same time, Juan Carlos was also part of theater plays and feature films in the country. His last novel was “Let heaven explain to me” (2011).

What are you currently doing?

As much as you want to get the actor on social media, it is impossible. Apparently, he is not a big fan of digital platforms and has preferred to stay out of them, as he does not have a profile on Instagram or Fernandez.

A few years ago he wrote the book Palavras Kaleidoscopiques which was not so commercial. Currently, it is known that Alarcón is residing in Brazil, a country where he has been a little more than 10 years and became a visual artist.
