Juan Soltero: They broadcast a video of the attack; attack lasted 30 seconds


This Friday, the lawyer and former coordinator of the Carlos Lomelí campaign during the 2018 elections was shot at in his office, in the Jardines del Bosque neighborhood in Guadalajara.

The video of the attack against Soltero, which occurred at 11:50 in the morning, circulated through social networks, according to the images recorded by the office cameras.

The video shows how a subject aboard a blue motorcycle arrives at the main entrance of the office of the former Jalisco deputy for Morena, who apparently wears denim pants, a dark jacket, an orange reflective vest and a helmet also in black.

The man remains on the site for a few seconds until the arrival of a vehicle that intends to enter the parking lot, as seen in the images, and it is then that he takes out a pistol and shoots at least eight times directly against the location of his victim.

After that, he keeps the weapon between his clothes and flees on the motorcycle towards the Matute Remus Bridge behind a truck that was parked in front of the building.

In total, from the arrival of the subject until he fled, only 30 seconds elapsed, that is, the attack lasted about half a minute.

According to the State Prosecutor’s Office, Juan Soltero only received a bullet, and he is already receiving care at a city hospital where a strong security device has been set up. According to sources close to the lawyer, he will undergo surgery this afternoon.
