Julian Nagelsmann has appointed the sixth newcomer of his short term in office. On Monday, the national coach nominated midfielder Grischa Prömel (TSG Hoffenheim) to replace Dortmund’s Felix Nmecha, who has slight hip problems.
Nagelsmann had previously called up attacker Marvin Ducksch (Werder Bremen) and goalkeeper Janis Blaswich (RB Leipzig) for the first time for the international matches against Turkey in Berlin (November 18th) and against Austria in Vienna (November 21st).
Newcomers on the USA trip were Chris Führich, Kevin Behrens and Robert Andrich.
Nagelsmann and Prömel (28) know each other well from their time together at Hoffenheim. Prömel once said that it was thanks to Nagelsmann that he became a professional.
Before Nmecha, Robin Gosens (Union Berlin) and Malick Thiaw (AC Milan) had already canceled the end of the international year – both will soon be fathers.
