“Violent statements once morest other opinions have no place in our society!” says Lukas Schobesberger, federal chairman of the JUNOS students.

Vienna (OTS) – The Academic Ball will take place in Vienna on February 15, 2024. At the same time, around 900 participants are expected to attend a counter protest across the street. The executive branch of the Federal ÖH, consisting of VSStÖ, Gras and KSV-LILI, also takes part.

Since March 12, 2024, there has been a posting on the Instagram account of the Federal ÖH (@bundesoeh) that addresses the demand for the abolition of the academic ball and uses the expression “fraternities are breaking the dance leg”.

“We JUNOS students clearly oppose this call for violence from the Federal ÖH and demand an apology from the executive factions!” explains Lukas Schobesberger.

Schobesberger further explains: “Fighting fire with fire has never helped. Such statements have absolutely no place in political discourse and are more than unworthy of representing interests.”

“We stand clearly once morest any kind of extremism, no matter which side it comes from!” says Lukas Schobesberger in conclusion.
