The investigating chamber of the court of appeal followed the general prosecutor’s office, which had requested his detention after his indictment for homicide and involuntary injuries by a driver who used narcotics in a state of legal recidivism.
On February 17, the judge of freedoms and detention had him under house arrest, under electronic bracelet, in the addiction service of a hospital.

Stroke victim
Hospitalized in Villejuif, in the Paris suburbs, Pierre Palmade suffered a stroke on Saturday at the end of the day, his entourage told AFP, confirming information from several media.

After the stroke, he was transferred to another hospital in the south of Paris, to the Kremlin-Bicêtre, a source familiar with the matter confirmed to AFP.
On February 10, on a secondary road in the Paris region, the comedian was driving a car that hit a vehicle coming in front. In addition to the actor, the accident left three seriously injured: a 38-year-old man, his 6-year-old son and his 27-year-old sister-in-law, who lost the baby she was expecting after the collision.

The comedian is also targeted by an investigation into the possession of child pornography, opened after a report made to the police. A man was indicted on Saturday for dissemination and possession of child pornography images, and placed under judicial supervision as part of this investigation.

Pierre Palmade was sentenced in 1995 for cocaine use. In 2019, he was taken into custody for use and acquisition of narcotics after being falsely accused of rape.
