Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced on Wednesday February 23 the end of the emergency measures provided for in the emergency law invoked last week to put an end to the demonstrations anti-sanitary measures that lasted three weeks.

“We see that we are no longer in emergency situation. This is why the federal government is ending the Emergencies Act.”said Justin Trudeau, specifying that this revocation should be effective “in the hours to come”.

Monday evening, Canadian parliamentarians had approved the use of the exceptional law invoked last week by Justin Trudeau. This law was invoked on February 14, for only the second time in Canada in peacetime, to end the anti-sanitary measures blockades that have rocked the country for three weeks, demonstrations which the Prime Minister said had no minister nothing more “peaceful”.
