Kaouther Adimi, winner of the 10th France Culture Student Novel Prize – Télérama

The Student Novel Prize

Launched 10 years ago with the support of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, and the National Book Center, the Prix du Novel des Etudiants France Culture – Télérama rewards each year a novel written in French. The jury brought together nearly 1,600 students for this edition, come from all sectors (literary, scientific, technical, economic…) and from all walks of life, from mainland France and overseas.

The Student Novel Prize has the particularity of organizing and creating the conditions for the meeting between the students and the selected authors. About forty this year, in universities and bookstores. These moments of exchange, supported by the Center national du livre, precious for students and authors alike, are a rare opportunity for dialogue with an artist living around his creation and with critical readers and lovers of contemporary literature.

France Culture and Télérama would like to thank all the universities, bookstores and university libraries who participated in this wonderful edition, carried by the unwavering support of teachers, booksellers, librarians and cultural managers. A big thank you also to the publishing houses who trusted the Prize by authorizing us to distribute the digital versions of the novels to the jurors, in addition to receiving a copy of the novel of their choice, at home. Finally, thank you to the authors for their generous presence and to the students for their passion and their questions.
