A Los Angeles judge has granted reality TV star Kim Kardashian a divorce from singer Kanye West, whom she married in 2014.
Kardashian appeared in court virtually via the Internet, while West represented his lawyer, who did not object to the termination of the marriage.
West, who officially changed his name to “Ye”, was previously opposed to this split, and called on Kardashian several times on social media to reconcile.
Last year, Kardashian filed for divorce following rumors spread for several months in the media regarding the difficulties the duo is facing in their married life, and regarding psychological problems that the rapper suffers from.
Kardashian urged a Los Angeles court, in a statement submitted to it last week, to expedite the divorce proceedings
