Karuvannur Bank Scam: BJP President Exposes Government Cover-up

Thiruvananthapuram – BJP state president K. Surendran said that the government is trying to protect the accused in the case of crores of rupees laundered through Karuvannur Bank during the note ban. K. Surendran said that A.C. Moiteen’s non-appearance before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) was due to CPM’s instructions.

“The news that more than 500 crores of black money has been laundered in many other banks in Thrissur district is shocking. What has now emerged is only the tip of the iceberg. The arrested Satheesan is the benami of many senior leaders of the CPM. The government is trying to subvert the case by using the crime branch because it understands that the elite will be caught. The CPI board member’s disclosure that he was threatened by the crime branch underlines this,” he said.

“The CPM leaders have looted the money of the poor. CPM’s only aim is to destroy the cooperative sector and launder black money. CPM is fighting against ED because it has a thick chest. Congress and CPM are also collaborating with each other in collaborative corruption. BJP has held cooperative adalats in two districts against the corruption in cooperative banks in Kerala. Adalats will also be organized in other districts. BJP will fight till those who lost money get justice. The agitation will continue until the corrupt are brought to the fore,” he added.
