Ice hockey youngster Marco Kasper was just a spectator in the clear 5-0 victory of the Detroit Red Wings in the NHL against Montreal. The 18-year-old from Carinthia was sidelined with a lower body injury but should be available again on Thursday against Buffalo, coach Derek Lalonde said. 18-year-old Kasper celebrated his debut in the North American top league on Sunday.
Detroit’s chances of making the playoffs are still slim, however, with the Red Wings likely to have to win all five remaining games. Defending champion Colorado Avalanche fixed the participation. The 2022 Stanley Cup winners defeated the San Jose Sharks 4-3 away after overtime.
