Kate Middleton Like Princess Diana and Meghan Markle, she did not have it easy with the attention of the media, at the beginning of her relationship with Prince William and even before getting married she received insults from the paparazzi.
Columnist Daniela Elser revealed that photographers used to shout insults at her to get a negative reaction from the Duchess of Cambridge.
This started when it was revealed that the Duke of Sussex had started dating Kate Middleton when they were studying at the University of St. Andrew in Scotland. So upon her return to London, the Duchess was “the subject of much press interest and paparazzi intrusion,” wrote Katie Nicholl in her book “Kate: The Future Queen.”
Given this media attention, attendees of the prince Williamadvised his new girlfriend and her family on how to deal with the cameras since: “His duty was to take care of her.”once revealed an assistant to the royal family: “We told him to smile at the photographers so there would be a better picture.”
In her column for the NZ Herald, Daniela Elser wrote: “For almost five whole years, Kate was persecuted and generally harassed by certain sectors of the media.
“Some paps used to yell profanities, look this way! to try to get a reaction from the Duchess of Cambridge or a photo of Kate Middleton making a terrible face or missing it was much more valuable than her just minding her own business,” continuous.
“What is remarkable, in hindsight, is his poise and grace under fire. No videos of her crying, screaming hysterically at the press, or breaking down like you or I probably would.”concluded the columnist.
