After a first detection of the virus on 6 October on ticks collected from cattle farms in southern France, it was in Corsica that Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (FHCC) appeared. • wear closed shoes and light covering clothing (to

• avoid walking among tall grass, bushes and low branches and
favor marked paths
• inspect yourself after returning from walks and gardening
• in case of bite, immediately remove the attached ticks with a tick remover or fine tweezers (under no circumstances use ether or other products) and disinfect the wound
• monitor the puncture site for several days and contact your doctor if you experience symptoms (fever, fatigue, redness).
