Kentucky Fried Chicken threatens Mbappe

Legal affairs threatened “Kentucky Fried Chicken”, the star of the French national team, Kylian Mbappe, after the latter refused to participate in the group photos of his country due to the image rights crisis.

The French Football Federation announced that it would review the agreement on the rights of players’ images after media reports that striker Mbappe refused to participate in activities related to a sponsoring company.

ESPN reported that Mbappe refused to participate in the national team photo and sponsorship activities scheduled for Tuesday because he did not want to promote some of the brands contracted to sponsor the French team.

Mbappe said in a statement published by the network: I decided not to participate in the photo session after the French Federation refused to change the photo rights agreement with the players.

Kentucky Fried Chicken is one of the sponsors of the French national team, as Alain Beral, vice president of the company’s French branch, hinted that he would take legal action after what happened.

Beral said in media statements: What Mbappe did was a youthful rush. The problem between him and the French Federation is not with us.

He continued: We paid money for something that is clear, we will certainly defend our rights.

The French Federation wrote on Twitter on Monday that it had held discussions with the executives, the president of the federation, the coach and a marketing director.

The statement added: “The French Football Federation is committed to reviewing the image rights agreement between itself and its selected players as soon as possible.”

He continued: The French Federation looks forward to working on the broad lines of a new agreement that will allow it to secure its interests, taking into account the legitimate concerns expressed unanimously by the players.

France hosts Austria in the Nations League on Thursday and then plays in Denmark three days later.
