Kerala Blasters’ young forward Subha Ghosh left the club unexpectedly. The player joined Gokulam Kerala FC, an I-League club from Kerala. Subhghosh is a player in the Blasters squad that will play in the 2022 Durant Cup. Meanwhile, the transfer of the star shocked everyone. Bengaluru FC superstar Sunil Chhetri is looking forward to playing in Kochi against Kerala Blasters in the 2022-23 season. Speaking to ISL after the new season’s fixtures were announced, Chhetri said he was looking forward to playing against the Blasters at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Chhetri added that he is looking forward to the away clash against Blasters and playing in front of a packed gallery in Kochi is a special experience.
Strong opponents for Blasters in the Durant Cup quarter
Kerala Blasters, who qualified for the quarter-finals after a good performance in the Durant Cup, faced I-League giants Mohammedan SC as their opponents in the quarter. Uruguayan midfielder Adrian Luna of Kerala Blasters has joined the team for the pre-season. Luna arrived in the UAE on Tuesday (06/09/2022) morning and started training with the team in the evening. With the addition of Luna, Blasters’ squad is complete. Although the Blasters pre-season started earlier last month, Luna has joined the team after a month. There are indications that Luna’s arrival was delayed due to some problems in her personal life.
The training of Kerala Blasters is now in the country
Kerala Blasters will return home today (08/09/2022) after pre-season in UAE. UAE pre-season of Kerala Blasters started on 17th of last month. The Blasters played a warm-up match against UAE club Al Jazira Al Hamra after the lifting of the ban, although all three training matches previously planned in the UAE were canceled due to the FIFA ban. The club also managed to win this match by five goals to one. After this match, the Blasters players themselves were divided into 2 teams and an intrasquad practice match was also organized there.
