Alappuzha: Kerala has said that it has nothing to hide on the fake degree controversy of former SFI leader Nikhil Thomas and will respond after getting the correct information.
University syndicate member KH Babujan said that he was responding to the allegation that he recommended Nikhil Thomas for M.Com admission in Kayamkulam MSM College.
Babujan got involved in the fake mark list controversy after he was appointed as the in-charge of the Haripad area committee which was dissolved due to sectarianism in the CPM. The college manager Hilal Babu also revealed that it was the party leader who recommended MCom admission to Nikhil Thomas who failed in BCom in the same college under the management quota. Nikhil Thomas reached MSM college after passing the admission time. Nikhil Thomas got admission on the basis of extension of admission date by the university after he was sent back saying that admission was not possible due to lapse of time. It was alleged that Babujan’s involvement was also behind getting eligibility from Kerala University for the certificate submitted by Nikhil on the claim of belonging to Kalinga University.
