The athletic competitions of the first Kerala Games will begin today. The matches will be played at the University Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram. More than 100 athletes from 14 districts are competing in the athletics category. Aquatic competitions related to the Games will continue today. Meanwhile, Thiruvananthapuram continues to dominate the medal hunt. Thiruvananthapuram topped the list with 22 gold, eight silver and 10 bronze medals. Ernakulam is in the second position with 19 medals.
