Health Minister Veena George said 25 more people in the state have been confirmed omicron today. Omikron has confirmed 19 cases from Malappuram district and 3 cases each from Alappuzha and Thrissur districts. (kerala reports 25 omicron cases)
Of the 25 confirmed today, 23 are from low – risk countries. Two people were infected with Omicron through contact. A 42-year-old woman from Malappuram district and a 10-year-old girl from Thrissur district contracted the disease through contact.
In Malappuram, 14 came from the UAE, 4 from Qatar, 2 in Alappuzha, one from the UAE, one in Saudi Arabia, one in Thrissur and one in the USA.

With this, Omikron has been confirmed for a total of 305 people in the state. 209 came from low risk countries and a total of 64 from high risk countries. A total of 32 people were infected through contact.
