Kevin Durant asked Brooklyn for a trade – Basketball

star forward “Brooklyn” Kevin Durant (33 years, 208 cm) asked the club for an exchange to another team, according to ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

The player made a request directly to the owner of the club, Joseph Tsai.

Nets General Manager Sean Marks works with Durant and his business manager, Rich Kleiman, to find a suitable exchange option.

Durant’s wishlist includes Phoenix and Miami, but the Nets plan to send the forward to where they can get the best deal possible.

Durant and Kyrie Irving have not been in contact with the Nets since Irving exercised a contract extension for the 2022-23 season on Monday, sources said, and it was inevitable that Durant would eventually ask for a trade.

Wojnarowski previously revealed that Durant plans to stay with Brooklyn for at least the 22/23 season. The current contract of the two-time NBA champion runs until 2026.

Durant played 55 games last season, averaging 29.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 0.9 steals and 0.9 blocks.
