Kevin Magnussen “The combination of Verstappen and Red Bull F1 is another dimension”[F1-Gate.com]

Haas F1 team’s Kevin Magnussen wants to prove he can race against the best teams by regularly challenging the likes of Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton.

Kevin Magnussen was the last driver to cross the checkered flag, having dropped considerably in the previous F1 Italian Grand Prix at Monza.

However, for the first few laps of the race, he battled seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton, who started from 19th on the back of the grid.

Kevin Magnussen has battled Lewis Hamilton for the second time this season, having edged him out in Saturday’s sprint in Austria.

“I like the challenge of racing Hamilton, Verstappen and Charles Leclerc because I think I can handle it,” said Kevin Magnussen.

“I may never have had the chance to prove to myself that I could do it.”

“I don’t think there are many drivers better than Max or Lewis, but there are drivers at their level and I want to know if I am at their level.

Kevin Magnussen praised Max Verstappen’s achievements this season and his incredible 11 wins from 16 races so far.

“The combination of Max and his car is on another level,” said Kevin Magnussen.

“I don’t think anyone can do what he’s doing now.”

Kevin Magnussen, who returned to F1 this season and with Haas F1 Team after a year away from F1, has started the 2022 season strongly, scoring points in three of the first four races.

However, Haas F1 Team’s performance has since declined and since then Kevin Magnussen has only scored points at Silverstone and Austria.
