Manama: The Kerala Football Association of Bahrain (KFA) is organizing a mega football tournament called ‘Super Cup 2022’. The tournament will be held on May 19, 20, 26, 27 and June 2, 3, 9 and 10 at the ground behind the Hoora Gosi Complex, the organizers said in a press release. Eight professional teams, 16 semi-professional teams and 32 amateur teams will take part in the tournament.
The Kerala Football Association Bahrain is an organization formed to promote sports among the expatriate Keralites in Bahrain. The association has 54 clubs and about 1,200 players. The association has already organized 23 tournaments, both large and small.
KFA President Obaid Poomangalam, Vice Presidents Mohammad Rafeeq, General Secretary Krishnadas, Treasurer Tasleem Thennadan and Jo. Secretaries Abdul Jalil and Arun Sarath, Membership Coordinators Sajjad Sulaiman and Sawad Thalappacheri were present.
