Dr. Atef Imam, a member of the Council of the Syndicate of Musical Professions, revealed, on his Facebook page, that the great musician Helmy Bakr had undergone treatment in a hospital.
Dr. Muhammad Abdullah, “the official spokesman and member of the Board of Directors of the Syndicate of Musical Professions”, in an exclusive statement to “Masrawy”, said: “The musician Helmy Bakr at dawn today to the Shabrawishi Hospital, and he is currently under close observation in intensive care.”
He continued: “The great musician suffers from kidney failure, water retention in the body and feet, with high sugar levels. The issue of retention was dealt with medically, and he began to improve.”
Dr. Atef Imam, a member of the Syndicate Council, posted a picture of the musician on his personal Facebook page, and wrote: “May God heal him and grant him health, the great musician, Professor Helmy Bakr, and thank you to Professor Dr. Muhammad Assasa, a cardiovascular consultant.”
