This came during his participation today in a high-level session entitled “Raising the Level of the Next Generation of Immunity”, within the work of the “World Vaccine Conference … Raising Generation Immunity”, which was held in the Spanish capital, Madrid, from 13-15 / June / 2023 AD, in the presence of an ambassador. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the Kingdom of Spain, Azzam bin Abdul Karim Al-Qain.

He pointed out that the Kingdom has so far responded to the Corona pandemic with an amount of 863 million US dollars, and has also donated doses of vaccines and epidemic supplies to more than 41 countries, and will continue to provide support and assistance to many countries to ensure the sustainability of their health systems during any future health emergencies, including pandemics. The Kingdom aspires to a future in which everyone in the world – especially children – enjoys equal access to vaccinations against dangerous diseases.

He added: We believe that the regional production of vaccines will greatly improve the ability of all countries to access urgent supplies, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is investing to become a center for the production of vaccines, and the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action, as the humanitarian arm of the Kingdom, seeks to plan the establishment of a logistics center on the Red Sea. To provide quick and easy access to vaccines and other humanitarian aid in times of need.

At the end of his speech, Dr. Al-Rabeeah appreciated the partnership with Gavi, looking forward to a future that could be a global system developed by alliances for vaccines and donor countries, in order to meet the challenges caused by potential pandemics, and looked forward to working together to protect the lives of the most vulnerable groups in the world.
