A knife attack occurred during the night from Saturday to Sunday in an establishment located in the Carré district in Liège, rue du Pot d’Or, shortly before 8:00 a.m., the Liège public prosecutor’s office announced on Sunday. A 45-year-old man injured another 19-year-old during a fight before fleeing.
The man was able to be identified by the police thanks to surveillance cameras which filmed him leaving the establishment. In these, he might notably be seen wiping his knife.
The victim was taken care of by the emergency services. She suffered a deep gash two centimeters deep on her neck.
The perpetrator of this attack, known for similar acts, was intercepted and referred to the Liège public prosecutor’s office. His case was put under investigation with a request for an arrest warrant for attempted murder.
