Kompany’s Burnley leads then drops points again, important victory for Sels

Vincent Kompany and Burnley have lined up a fourth match without defeat. Unfortunately for them Clarets had to settle for a share once morest Wolverhampton (1-1). An insufficient point since at the same time Nottingham Forest and Matz Sels won.

Jacob Brunn Larsen opened the scoring. Rayan Ait-Nouri equalized in stoppage time in the first period. Vince the Prince had a hard time keeping calm. For the former defender, the referee simply should not have awarded the free kick which led to the Wolves goal.

Correct decision or not, for the 9th time this season Burnley lost points following leading. A stat which hurts and which weighs heavily in the race to maintain.
