Kuwait – 10 – 2 (KUNA) العج Al-Ajiri scientific center said that the winter seasons according to the calculation of the AL-Ajiri calendar are still continuing and begins on Thursday the season (scorpions) and is the third in the winter in Kuwait and the last according to the chronology of the astronomical calendar (quadraniya-Al-Shabat-Scorpions).
The director of public relations and media at the Astronomical Center Khalid al-Jumaan said in a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the season of Scorpions consists of three periods, namely scorpion venom, Scorpion blood and Scorpion fat and the number of days 26 continuous days each in their position according to their order of cold and then moderate separation.
Al-Jamaan explained that the seasons in the astronomical calendar are time periods determined by the duration according to the views of the Stars, which are derived from the location of the earth during its rotation around the sun so that the horoscope of the stars of their periods coincide with seasonal changes resulting from the change of angles of fall of the sun’s rays as a result of the change of seasons and the angle of fall of the sun’s rays these days is 46 degrees.
He pointed out that the skies of Kuwait these days abound with astronomers distinctive scenes of celestial bodies and according to the astronomical calculation of Kuwait’s geographical location there will be many planets during these days and throughout the month of February.
He pointed out that Jupiter, the giant of the solar system and its largest planets will be bright immediately after sunset on the southern horizon in addition to Mars, Venus, Mercury and Saturn on the eastern horizon just before sunrise and can be seen with the naked eye.
He pointed out that these days the stars of the Hunter and the star of the Yemeni hair are also the brightest stars of the sky and the reason why the stars shine in the sky during the winter and the possibility of seeing them with the naked eye very clearly compared to the rest of the year because the Earth faces the arm of the Galaxy to which the solar system belongs in each of the months of December, January and February.
The summer months of June, July and August, on the contrary, are the night sky towards the center of the galaxy, where the light of billions of Stars meets, causing the sky to appear blurry and unclear.
He pointed out that our galaxy (Milky Way) has a diameter of about 100 thousand light-years and its center is between 25 and 28 thousand light-years and we can not see that center because it is hidden behind the density of cosmic dust. (End)
