The Korean women’s volleyball team, led by coach Cesar Hernandez, suffered a devastating defeat to Italy and lost 11 consecutive VNL 2022 Volleyball Nations League losses.

Korea lost to Italy with a set score of 1-3 (17-25 25-23 15-25 19-25) in the third match of the third week of the 2022 VNL held in Sofia, Bulgaria on the 1st (Korean time).

Korea, which has already lost 11 matches and is already at the bottom of the list, is in danger of being embarrassed by the first defeat in VNL.

On this day, Korea gave up the first set in vain, but in the second set, they succeeded in scoring four consecutive goals from 21-23 and balanced it out.

It was the second time Korea won at least one set in this tournament, following a 1-3 defeat against Turkey on June 20.

But Korea’s counterattack did not end there. Korea tried their best to win the first match, but it was not enough to win an additional set. They lost 15-25 in the 3rd set, and in the 4th set, they were blocked by opponent heights and recorded 19-25, falling into a swamp of 11 straight losses.

Korea will play the final match against China at 7:30 pm on the 3rd. If they don’t even catch this match, they will be the first team to lose since the founding of VNL.
