The Indonesian General Election COMMISSION (KPU) said that disputes over general election results (PHPU) registered in the 2024 Election had decreased compared to PHPU cases in the 2019 Election.

“A total of 340 cases in the 2019 Election and 273 cases in the 2024 Election, or the equivalent of around 80.29%, aka there has been a decrease in PHPU dispute cases at the Constitutional Court of around 19.71%,” said Indonesian KPU Commissioner Mochammad Afifuddin, Monday (25/3).

Afif revealed a statistical comparison of the 2019 Election PHPU data with the 2024 Election. In the 2019 Election PHPU cases, as many as 340 cases were registered. Then the cases examined reached the evidentiary stage of 122 cases.

“There are 12 things that were approved in the 2018 election,” he said.

Meanwhile, said Afifuddin, there are 273 PHPU cases registered for the 2024 Election.

“The data is based on the Deed of Submission of the Petitioner’s Application (AP3) which was issued by the Constitutional Court on Sunday 24 March 2024 at 19.00 WIB,” said Afifuddin.

As for the details of the 2024 Election cases, namely two applications for the Presidential Election. Then, as many as 258 DPR and DPRD legislative election applications were submitted. Finally, 12 applications were submitted.
