The Indonesian General Election Commission (KPU) is taking steps to deal with election disputes at the Constitutional Court (MK). Commissioner of the General Election Commission (KPU), Mochammad Afifuddin, said that his party would gather all chairmen/coordinators along with members of the regional KPU legal division on Sunday (24/3).

Afifuddin explained that the coordination meeting was held to prepare for dealing with disputes over election results at the Constitutional Court.

“To be precise, the Coordination Meeting is preparation for the PHPU trials,” explained Afiifuddin to Media Indonesia, Sunday (24/3).

Afifuddin said that not all regions would experience election disputes at the Constitutional Court. However, Afifuddin emphasized the importance of preparing everything, especially since the implementation of disputes is not limited to certain areas.

It is known that the Amin National Team and TPN Ganjar-Mahfud have filed a lawsuit with the Constitutional Court regarding the results of the 2024 elections.

Anies-Muhaimin’s National Legal Team, Ari Yusuf Amir, explained that one of the requests requested was a re-vote without vice presidential candidate number 2, Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

“Replace the deputy candidate, please replace anyone, let’s fight honestly, fairly, freely,” stressed Ari.
