Kuwait City | While the countries of the world are rushing to achieve the greatest possible benefit through the process of recycling waste, Kuwait is reportedly not interested in this even in the light of technological development. The country’s loss is getting bigger. The disposal or incineration of wastes also causes serious problems for the environment and human health.

According to the Environmental Authority report, Kuwait spends 28.5 million dinars annually on waste collection and treatment. 7,500 tons of waste is collected daily. 50% of the country’s waste is dumped in landfills. The report also states that good sources of revenue that might have benefited if the implementation had been better are not being used. The annual volume of domestic waste in the country is estimated at 1.4 million tonnes.
