It is because of this that one of the beneficiaries of monetary transfers from the Kwenda program, Rosalina Manuel, said that she will improve, with the money she received, her activity in the agricultural field.
The purchase of fertilizers or fertilizers, as well as seeds to diversify the type of food produced, since at the moment he only grows beans on his farm. “I will be able to sow corn, potatoes, cassava, among others.
With the same amount I will also buy food and hygiene items, such as oil, rice and soap. It will also be possible to buy clothes for the children”, said Rosalina Manuel.
Last Saturday, dozens of citizens from the municipality of Camacupa gathered to witness this act of handing over Kwenda values.
On the occasion, the vice governor for the Political, Economic and Social sector of the province of Bié, Alcida Celeste Sandumbo appealed to the community to do everything for the common good and avoid everything that leads to unnecessary expenses, which in addition to harming itself it also harms others.
Meanwhile, the municipal administrator of Camacupa, Deolinda Gonçalves, assured that she will monitor the entire process, as well as financially raise awareness and educate the population, especially Kwenda beneficiaries, so that they know how to make rational use of the financial resources they received.
“Only in this way will the locality be able to count on solid families and with the minimum number of problems resolved, leaving behind some evils such as the escape from fatherhood and domestic violence, for example”, he highlighted.
Deolinda Gonçalves stated that the monetary social transfers that its population is receiving are one of the best Christmas gifts, therefore, on behalf of all the residents of Camacupa, she reiterated her deepest thanks to the Angolan Executive.
Each family is receiving 66 thousand kwanzas
The provincial director of the Local Development Institute (FAS) in Bié, Rizoni Chivembi, explained that the program began on the 16th of the current month, with the process of social monetary transfers in the municipality of Camacupa, where each of the 41 thousand and 636 Selected beneficiaries will receive 66 thousand kwanzas, corresponding to two quarters.
Families will receive the amounts for 24 months. Rizoni Chivembi recalled that registration was carried out with the utmost rigor, house by house.
His team carried out a rigorous investigation that involved the local community, and depending on the number of beneficiaries, two billion 749 million 956 thousand kwanzas will be disbursed.
“We call on the benefiting families to use the amounts to improve social, productive and financial conditions”, said Rizoni.
It is important to clarify that the Kwenda program is best known for the monetary social transfers component, but there is also Productive Inclusion, which consists of verifying income-generating activities selected according to the specificities of the target groups, in order to enhance the productive, financial and the purchasing power of families.
The third component is the municipalization of social action, which foresees the creation of Integrated Social Action Centers (CASI), public social facilities designed to provide essential services and assistance to families.
The fourth, and last component, is the single social registry, which translates into a strategic tool to serve as a basis and support for developing public policies.
