“Personal reasons”. This is how the French singer La Zarra justified on Saturday evening the cancellation of two performances one month before the Eurovision 2023 final, on May 13 in Liverpool.

The tricolor candidate has indeed had to forfeit this weekend for two events in which she was to participate in Amsterdam, during Eurovision In Concert on Saturday evening, an event very popular with fans of the European song contest, and in London, at the London Party this Sunday.

See you in Liverpool on the 13th may.”

“We hope it’s nothing serious”

Without much more details, a spokesperson for France 2, partner of the competition and the French candidacy, explained to the Parisian, that “it is a problem that at her request, I cannot reveal. She prefers to rest to be in good shape on D-Day”…

What all the same to feed some concerns among the fans, a few weeks before the competition: “We hope it’s nothing serious. But yes, we are disappointed”, reacted in particular in the columns of the daily Benoit Blaszczyk, secretary of Eurofans, the club for French Eurovision fans.
