Münster – FC Bayern Munich moved into the second round of the DFB Cup with a confident 4-0 (3-0) win over third division team Preußen Münster. ÖFB team player Konrad Laimer scored his first competitive goal for the German record champions with a header to make it 2-0 (40th). Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (9th), Frans Krätzig (45th + 5th) and Mathys Tel (86th) scored the other goals in the Preußenstadion, which was sold out with almost 13,000 fans.
