Everton coach Frank Lampard has confirmed that his team deserved to get a penalty against Liverpool.
This came in a press statement made by Lampard and reported by “Sky Sport”, during which he confirmed that the penalty kick would have been awarded if Mohamed Salah had fallen to the ground.
“It was a penalty, but you don’t get that kind of penalty at Anfield,” Lampard said.

He added, “If the player who fell was Mohamed Salah, I think that the referee would have awarded that game a penalty.”
And he added: “I think it was a penalty, I don’t know how clear it was, but the referee was very quick to get the yellow card, if he looked at the video technology, there were a lot of things that raised doubts.”
He continued: “I think we played well, in terms of possession and the way we play. We faced one of the best teams in the world and they did not threaten us in the first half.”
It is worth noting that Liverpool had won two clean goals against Everton in the match that brought the two teams together in the 34th round of the English Premier League.
