The organizers of the traditional Waldzell village festival last Sunday drew a successful conclusion. It started at 9 a.m. with a six-kilometre hike through the Waldzell municipal area, including a beautiful panoramic view. Around 200 hikers, including Andreas Goldberger, Jacqueline Seifriedsberger, Heinz Kuttin, Heinz Hochhauser, Richard Kitzbichler and Mayor Johannes Aigner, took part.
“Despite the somewhat unsettled weather, the rush of visitors was very large all day,” says organizer Willi Litzlbauer, who was happy about the participation of the many Waldzell clubs.
Special highlights were the maypole climbing, a performance by the Waldzeller Schuhplattler and the helicopter flights with the former world-class ski jumper Thomas Morgenstern. Herta Goldberger, Andi Goldberger’s mother, also ventured into the helicopter.
