For a healthy city: Vienna increases remuneration for healthcare workers.

Our healthcare professionals do extraordinary work in our city facilities every day. These efforts must be appropriately acknowledged. The introduction of the stand-in bonus of 130 euros is a clear sign of our appreciation for the staff, who often work under challenging conditions. This initiative is an important step to improve working conditions in the Vienna health network and to attract and retain highly qualified staff for the city.

Vienna (OTS/SPW-K) – Vienna announces a significant investment of 150 million euros annually for better compensation for employees in the Vienna Health Association. From February 1, 2024, Sunday, public holiday and night shift allowances will be significantly increased. In addition, a special stand-in bonus of 130 euros per service performed will be introduced for those who step in at short notice for sick colleagues.
