Good morning! Today is the last day of the ‘elections’ in Russia. And it is also the last day of the World Short Track Championships in Rotterdam.

What can you expect today?
- New peace talks between Israel and the leaders of Hamas may begin today in Qatar.
- In Russia it is the last day of the presidential elections. The elections have been tightly orchestrated and it has already been established that President Putin will once again become the leader of the country.
- The last day of the World Short Track Championships is in Ahoy in Rotterdam. All races can be seen via streams on NOS. The relay finals, among other things, are on the programme.
What did you miss?
A volcano has erupted again on Iceland’s Reykjanes Peninsula. It is the fourth time since December that the volcano in southwestern Iceland has erupted. According to the meteorological service, lava is coming out of a crack about 3 kilometers long.
Hundreds of people at the Blue Lagoon tourist spa had to be evacuated. The previous eruption was in February, when 20,000 people were left in the cold because heating pipes had burst due to lava.
