Every autumn, it is the flowering season of the Taiwan luan tree. There are 400 meters of Taiwan luan trees planted on both sides of Lianwai Road-Bazhang Street, Jiji Town, Nantou. In addition, on the campus of Jinan University in Puli Town, hundreds of Luan trees bloomed at the same time, forming a colorful and beautiful “Luan Tree Avenue”.
Walking on Bazhang Street in Jiji, the luan trees on both sides of the road, the colors of red, yellow and green, interweave into a beautiful scenery, full of autumn romance. The town hall said that there are about 400 meters of luan trees planted on both sides of Bazhang Street. They have entered the flowering stage. Not only are they blooming golden flowers, but some have also bear pink pods. The yellow flowers are swaying in the wind and scattered like golden rain.
Jiji Mayor Chen Jiheng mentioned, “We are now at the end of September and the beginning of October, when both yellow and pink appear on the trees, so our entire Luanshu Avenue in Taiwan will be very colorful.”
Taiwan Luan tree, from full of green leaves to yellow when it blooms, turns reddish brown when the result, until the capsule dries up and turns brown, also known as “four-color tree”; it is also the town flower of Puli Town, and a large number of street trees are planted on Xinyi Road in Puli City. , when autumn arrives, it adds to the colorful colors of the town; especially on the campus of Jinan University in Puli, hundreds of Luan trees are widely planted, and from a bird’s-eye view, it forms a spectacular and colorful “Luanshu Avenue”, which decorates the most beautiful autumn scenery on the campus.
Pan Qiao, a literary and historian, said, “Every autumn, when the school starts, it will begin to bloom, and then is the most beautiful time of the Taiwan Luan tree. It not only has flowers but also fruits, so the branches are very colorful and very bright.”
A student of Jinan University said, “The school changes with the seasons, and then different tree species will bloom, which will be of better help to the students’ body and mind.”
After the autumnal equinox, the Taiwan Luan tree enters the flowering season. You can see colorful scenery in Jiji and Puli, showing the romantic atmosphere of autumn. The flowering period of the luan tree is estimated to be up to 1 month.
