The Lawyers Association of the Free Patriotic Movement denounced the decision to dismiss the Public Prosecutor of Mount Lebanon, Judge Ghada Aoun, from service, saying that “this decision struck the last bastion of fighting corruption and the corrupt in the ruling authority and recovering the looted money,” and called in a statement, “All those who are jealous of Knowing the truth about the crime of the era, which resulted in the theft of an entire people, to join the movements supporting Judge Ghada Aoun’s boldness, which has become a symbol of an impartial judiciary and its message aimed at protecting the weak in front of the arrogance of the tyrannical ruler and protector of the corrupt.
The commission praised Judge Ghada Aoun’s efforts and “meets with her to put an end to corruption and the corrupt, to dare to open files and to achieve true justice in accordance with the spirit of the constitution, in the hope of rebuilding a just state.”
The commission concluded its statement: “It is inevitable to announce, with full mouths, that the commission stands behind Judge Ghada Aoun with all her legal steps to set an example for her comrades, so that they may have courage and follow her example in order to be swords in the face of the corrupt.”
