LDF strike: Rajbhavan protest without interruption

Thiruvananthapuram – The work of the Raj Bhavan was not interrupted during the protest organized by the Higher Education Protection Committee with the support of the LDF in front of the Raj Bhavan. All the employees came to work as usual. The protest gathering started after the office hours started. The protesters did not stop the vehicles coming to the Raj Bhavan. Governor Arif Muhammad Khan’s Principal Secretary Devendra Kumar Dodawat and Governor’s Ad. Personal Assistant Hari S. Karta came to work under police security. Security was arranged for the important officials in view of the protest situation as the vehicles were provided by the Raj Bhavan board. The governor was in Delhi when the protest took place. The governor met the media and responded that everyone has the right to protest. The Governor will return on the evening of the 20th.

The protest program was inaugurated by CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yachuri. Yachuri’s reaction to a car approaching the stage constantly honking during his speech drew laughter. It is understood that the governor is in Delhi. And who is constantly honking the horn and creating noise’ – Yechury asked the audience. Yachuri also laughed when the leaders replied that DMK leader Tiruchi Siva MP had come in a car to participate in the protest and was stuck in traffic. Yachuri said that Shiva is a long time friend. CPM State Secretary MV Govindan, LDF Convener EP Jayarajan, CPI State Secretary Kanam Rajendran, Jose K. Mani, PC Chacko, KB Ganesh Kumar and others were present.
