(LEAD) Samsung Electronics: Next Galaxy Unpacked coming July 26

SEOUL, July 6 (Yonhap) — Samsung Electronics Co. announced Thursday that the next edition of its biannual Galaxy Unpacked conference will be held for the first time in the tech giant’s home country of South Korea. The event will take place on July 26 at 8 p.m. center of the capital.

Samsung should logically unveil its new models of folding phones, which the company hopes to make one of the pillars of its emblematic range of smartphones, the Galaxy. The Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy Watch 6 are expected to be among the biggest announcements of the evening.

A teaser video titled “Join the flip side” that the company shared on Thursday suggests that improvements have been made to the articulation of its upcoming folding phone model, as light appears to be emitted from the section that connects the two screen halves.

The name of the event, Unpacked, is also written using reimagined Korean characters to incorporate some iconic Seoul landmarks, such as Seoul Tower and Gyeongbok Royal Palace, to emphasize the eventful side of this event. Samsung usually holds these conferences every year in February and August, so far only in Europe or the United States, in order to present the new models of its flagship series. The world leader in mobile phones held its last such conference in February in San Francisco, during which it unveiled its latest series, the Galaxy S23 with its Plus and Ultra versions, as well as the Galaxy Book 3 laptop.
